Junior Aryabhat
Early maths refers to the mathematical concepts and skills a child builds informally during the first few years – also called pre-maths skills or early numeracy skills.
- Three stages of learning any maths concept: concrete, pictorial and abstract.
- Preschoolers are mostly in the concrete stage, so we teach maths through their main medium of learning – play!
- Everyday activities: play with shapes, make shape pictures, build puzzles, pegboards, build forts, use manipulatives, learn counting songs, play with numbers and containers, measure objects.
Junior Pichai
Our coding-for-kids programme introduces little learners to computers and logical thinking.
- Coding nurtures creativity – starting with nothing and finishing with something.
- Coding makes maths more fun and engaging.
- Coding develops problem-solving skills.
- Coding promotes learning by doing – children learn best through doing and exploring.
